The workshops provide skills to aspiring content creators, from planning a video using a storyboard to shooting an interview and B-roll footage using digital cameras, editing a video using professional and accessible software, and amplifying the messages of their videos using social media. By the end of the training, participants will have produced and edited their video telling the story, such as how a farmer integrated his coffee and poultry farms to improve resource efficiency and production. <\/p>\n

The National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) in Uganda conducts innovative and adaptive research in the crop, livestock, fisheries, forestry, and cross-cutting areas of soils, agricultural mechanization, post-harvest handling, biosciences, climate-smart, and Semi-arid research. NARO partnered with Rana Labs through the Feed the Future Uganda ISS Activity on a photography and videography workshop for the communications, Knowledge Management (KM), and IT Specialists from all the 16 zonal institutes. As a result of the workshop, the participants learned how to conduct compelling interviews for videos, edit video footage and audio narration into a final product video, and share video and photographic products on broadcast TV, social media, and offline environments. <\/span>

Finally, Rana Labs is leading production efforts to support beneficiaries and USAID to tell meaningful stories nationwide. With the Uganda Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), Rana Labs developed an instructional video to explain to agriculture partners how to use a web-based data collection system to improve agricultural data and foster improved use of data to support planning called the National Food and Agricultural Statistics System (NFASS). We also produced a video highlighting the system’s capabilities with a voice-over explaining how to use it and its capabilities.

A trav\u00e9s de actividades con tecnolog\u00eda m\u00f3vil, uso de Smartphone, micr\u00f3fonos bluetooth,<\/span><\/p>

tr\u00edpode y estabilizador. Con la utilizaci\u00f3n de una narrativa simple, se estimul\u00f3 la creatividad para desarrollar videos con mensajes clave sobre prevenci\u00f3n de la migraci\u00f3n irregular obtenidos de un estudio de barreras de comunicaci\u00f3n. Los videos fueron editados posteriormente por el equipo de Rana Labs. Dentro de los talleres de video se trabaj\u00f3 sobre el tema de prevenci\u00f3n de la migraci\u00f3n irregular, a trav\u00e9s de la pl\u00e1tica de los c\u00edrculos del amor, que son representados por: c\u00edrculo personal, c\u00edrculo familiar y c\u00edrculo comunitario.<\/span><\/p>

Con base en estos c\u00edrculos, el tema m\u00e1s resaltado es la importancia de cuidar el c\u00edrculo comunitario. Para los videos desarrollados por los participantes, se enfatiz\u00f3 en el cuidado de su comunidad, con los mensajes clave elegidos de prevenci\u00f3n de migraci\u00f3n irregular: <\/span><\/p>
